The area for staging and transporting the loaded pallets is very cramped. Lifting, bending, stretching and reaching to position cartons of various size and weight takes a physical toll on line operators. Lift trucks cannot access the congested work cells.
Solution:
Bishamon EZOFF lifters are positioned at the end of the packing lines. The empty pallets are placed on the Lift table. The lift is lowered as the pallet is loaded to accommodate the workers comfort level. In addition the operator can rotate the platform to position the lift for loading thereby eliminating reaching across the load or walking around the lift to position cartons on the pallet. The result is less bending, reaching and stretching, reduced fatigue and improved productivity. The EZOFF has surely made the work EZ as well as improving overall efficiency for these work cells.

I would like to take a moment to explain the difference between and Inside Mount & an Outside Mount for a lift table skirt.

Inside Mount:

An inside mount is normally used when the lift table is in a pit or there are space considerations around the lift table. If you do not want the folds of the skirt to extend out past the platform then you need an inside mount.

To use an inside mount you need to confirm the are no obstructions underneath the platform such as the scissor arms and the base of the lift. The base needs to be a minimum of 3" smaller on all 4 sides to allow the skirt to go down to the floor. So if you have a 36" x 48" platform your base may not be any larger than 30" x 42".

Outside Mount:

The majority of lift table skirts are an outside mount. When the folds of the skirt can go to the outside of the platform.

When the lift is in the down position the outside perimeter of the skirt is 3" larger than the platform on all 4 sides.
